MAGIC BULLET Blender? Ok so I'm going to buy the Magic bullter Tomorrow. I've been wanting it for a long time now.. but I always thought it was way to expensive. I've read good and some very bad reviews about it.. and I was not sure if it was woth the price.. But Today I saw it at a COSTCO WHOLSALE store (50$) And I'm getting it.. But I need to know you think it is worth it?.. should I just give it a try?.. Can it really do what it says?.. it just seems to good to be true and I've seen all those videos on the comenrcials and the website.. and you can tell it is not as fast as they say and they cut a bunch out to make it seem greater.. but I wouldn't mind if it doesn't make things as fast as it says.. as long as it works!... so what is it bad for and what is it good for?... are there any real custemers out there?.. please help me decide!!!... THANKS!

jake78745 replied: "I don't know, but if I have to watch that retarded info-mercial again, I'm going to put a magic bullet in my head...happy chopping!"

richard_wadd replied: "Friends of mine got a magic bullet and they rave about it. They make loads of stuff in it like sauces and you can even grate cheese apparently. $50 is a good price too from what I've seen."

carebear replied: "YEAH, YOU SHOULD!!! YOU CAN ALWAYS RETURN IT NOO? IF YOU CAN'T IM SURE YOU WILL STILL USE IT, MY COUSINS HAS IT, AND HE USES IT ALL THE TIME.. IT KINDA ISN'T WORTH IT.. BUT DONT LET PEOPLE HERE DECIDE FOR YOU! GO OUT AND BUY YOUR OWN!!"

Ridiculous replied: "Go ahead and get it! My father-in-law got us one for Christmas this past year and I love it! No need for a blender and a food processor anymore...this thing does it all! I love it!"

b_dog92 replied: "I have a magic bullet and although it CAN be a useful tool in the kitchen, it does not really save you any time. I'd say you are better off buying a good set of knives."

tonilynne215 replied: "I got one for christmas the year they came out (2005) I think. I love it, they make WONDERFUL smoothies! They work great, not quite as well as on tv but still good. Make sure you don't run it for more than about 45 seconds at a time, with a minute or so inbetween so it doesn't overheat, mine overheats a lot because I get carried away hehe. I would buy it again!! Have fun with it! Toni Lynne ;)"

Karin replied: "I've had mine for over three years, paid full price for it when it first came out (ew), and I love it. I don't use all the stuff that came with it, but it probably gets used 4-5 times a week in my house. Works wonders for mincing garlic and shallots, I also use the blender a lot in place of a food processor to puree sauces and stuff. Back when I first got it I used it to make the mixed drinks like on the infomercial (just to see if I could), and it works as well as they say...I just realized at some point I don't really like frozen drinks. Very useful for smoothies though. The juicer attachment is crap, but that's about it. I would say $50 is more than worth it, and I wish my Costco had them for that price...I'd buy a backup for when mine finally dies. Oh, someone said it grates hard cheeses, which is true. Not as fast as they say (you have to use small chunks), but better than doing it by hand. Hope this helps."

HappyGoLucky replied: "Some friends of mine got one. They love to make drinks, needless to say, they went back to the good ol' fashion blender. When it came to making the drinks they wanted, they did not like it, it did not crush the Ice as well as they would have liked, and when they added liquid it was even worse. I am not sure how it holds up to the other uses,as far as sauce, can cheese, dressings and such. But hey you can always take it back."

Does the Magic Bullet Blender crush ice? I got the Magic Bullet Blender for Christmas and so far have been very dissapointed. It doesn't crush ice. I only put 4 cubes in and have tried putting the ice at the bottom, middle and top and the thing just doesn't crush it. I added liquid too. Am I missing something here or does this thing just suck? I am using the "cross blade" like suggested in the book. Do you have to crush the ice first?

chinadoll replied: "Yeah thats what I mainly use it for,. like when I I make shakes. Make sure you are using it with the right blade, the one with two blades."

Melissa replied: "yes make sure you are using the right blade"

AuroraDawn replied: "Sadly, it's probably not a quality product. Which is why they sell them the way that they do, so you can't check them out at the store."

angelm replied: "Yes it does crush ice, I make smoothies with frozen fruit, juice, yogurt and crushed ice all the time. As someone already said, make sure you use the right blade. Hope it works out!"

lynette21638 replied: "It sure does in the infomercial!"

Chef Steve replied: "Mine works great...like the others said, make sure you are using the right blade. Also, try putting just a little liquid into it when you crush ice."

supafly replied: "I use mine as a milkshake maker all the time. If u use the correct blade, it should blow right through ice. How else would u make smoothies?"

Problems with magic bullet blender? We used the magic bullet blender for a few months making smoothies etc. We were careful to follow instructions on usage and cleaning up. Despite this the blades became seized up and wore out the plastic tags underneath which rendered the blending cup useless. The underside of the blade seemed to have rusted after wash up in the dishwasher - the use of which is in the instructions. Anyone else had this problem?

Gotham Princess replied: "I have had my magic bullets for quite some time now, about 2 years. I have not had any issues with rusting, even when leaving them in water against the manual's advice... The issues I have had are food getting right against the corners of the bast containing the blades, and the blender annihalating everything I put in it. I only use it when I want my food to look like space dust. I would suggest contacting the retailer for a refund or replacement. Or it might just be worth it to get a good food processor with smoothie attachements."

Mel replied: "I have had similiar issues. Depending on where you purchased your product, you may be able to have it replaced or your money refunded. Te main use for my magic bullet was to make smoothies and dips. The blades on mine became warped and eventually I couldn't use it for anything. I went back to Bed, Bath, and Beyond (where my product was purchased) and received an exchange for a new one without a receipt. I do hope that it lasts longer than my original bullet which was just under 8 months. It is a handy product, when working properly. How about you contact them @ 866-446-6352 (customer service is available Monday through Friday from 9am to 8pm, from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays, Eastern Time) Happy blending!"

chakakhan replied: "OH MY goodness. I am sooo irritated with the blade as well. This happened to us too. I believe that in the seconds that you take pressure off the cup when finished blending, the bottom motor chews away at the bottom of the blade. Ours is totally useless and I simply cannot find a way to get a new blade. I just saw some really successful business owner selling them left and right on ebay, but I was hoping to find it some other way."

What's so great about the Magic Bullet blender? I need to get a blender but don't want to spend $50. I like the idea that you can drink out of or store what you made right in the blender top. Is there a blender similar to the magic bullet that doesn't cost so much?

Dee U replied: "I had one but didn't care for it I use my Blendar more than the MB"

Obamas Shoes replied: "Yes, some regular blenders will fit small(1-2 cup) mason jars into the base and mason jars are only about 75 cents each."

Does anyone have that Magic Bullet blender? I got the Magic Bullet blender thing for Christmas. We tried to make a smoothy in it last night and it didn't work. Is there some trick to this thing or is it just another thing marketed that doesn't work?

Jon P replied: "I have one and love it. make sure you have to lid on good and tight. sometime if it is not on just right it will give problems. but as long as you can get it working. it works great."

Vonnie W replied: "I know someone who owns one and they love theirs. Didn't you get an instruction booklet with yours? You could try the company's website; you could probably email a query from there."

craftyjem719 replied: "I asked for one for christmas, but didn't get one but found this page Using the Silver Bullet: Easy and Fun One of the unique features of this amazing device is that it is so easy to use; users do not have to press any buttons or go through complex guidebooks. One has to merely position one of the Bullet Cups or Party Mugs on top of the high-torque power base and press. The operation is simple and by means of the Silver Bullet, you can make delightful party delicacies such as salsa, guacamole and bean dip, stimulating frozen margaritas and pina coladas, a diversity of tempting pasta sauces, mouth-watering desserts like creamy chocolate mousse or frosty milkshake and more. All this involves limited labor and there is no need for the annoying clean up later. How to Use the Silver Bullet Blender Pack the ingredients into the Short Cup, Tall Cup, or Party Mug. Rotate the Cross, or Flat Blade till the time the blade and cup have a compact seal. Array the tabs, put the bullet on the Power Base and push down on the cup to switch it on. Here's how it operates. When you're clutching it down, the Silver Bullet is functional. When you want the blades to stop rotating, just release the clutch. For using it while keeping your hands free push down and cautiously rotate the cup clockwise till the time the tabs fasten beneath the edge of the Power Base. Immediately the Silver Bullet is in Lock On system in which the motor operates constantly. To switch it off, just rotate the cup back counter clockwise and free the cup. Lock On system allows you to keep your hands free while using the gadget for mixing foods till the time they attain a soft uniformity. This is the procedure for making creamy delicacies like chocolate mousse, smoothies and frozen cocktails."

G replied: "I wish I could shoot mine with a magic bullet. It's pretty worthless. I like how it says not to run it continuously longer than 1 minute or else the motor will burn out. If you have the receipt for it, I would try my best to return it. :)"

Christina replied: "no, but i heard they suck!"

marklemoore replied: "I have had one for a year now. You need to put the liquid ingredients in it last so they are close to the blade when it mixes. Also, kind of move your hand a little when pushing down on it."

Carrie replied: "YES! I love it, except for the part where you open it to stir or add more ingredietns, and when you try to screw it back together the stuff gets everywhere. If you are pressing the little plastic things that are sticking out into the little grooves on the motor, it should work, and if not, maybe contact the company for replacement?"

yahoo user replied: "Yes- and mine sucks."

Could a Magic Bullet blender be used as a juicer, just to make 100% pure vegetable or fruit juice? I'm not talking about smoothies, just pure juice!

maxg900 replied: "ive got one and you first put the fruit in after you cut the seeds and stems out and then after you blend the fruit then strain it with a metal strainer"

ophirhodji replied: "It will puree it fine, I don't know that you would consider that juice, it's going to be very thick depending on what vegetable or fruit you use. If you are using a drier one mix it with something that has a lot of juice, that would work. Also I don't know if they have them back in stock yet but there is a juicer attachment for the Magic Bullet."

I just ordered a magic bullet blender and i need some recipe suggestions...? Also...Does anyone have any positive/negative expieriences with the bullet? I ordered it off ebay and have not seen the infomercial....Also, does anyone have a positive/negative expeirience with the bullet?

chavito replied: "you should watch the infomercial over again, don't they shw like 51 recipes...that british dude and the super hyper chick..."

amberleigh replied: "I love it for smoothies. It really is as quick as they say."

Kim B replied: "I just purchased one two days ago. You get a cookbook with it which has recipes for smoothies and salsa and a whole bunch of other things. I love it. It works just like they show on the famous infomercial and it's so easy to clean. I think you will be pleased with it."

wiseguy replied: "A fool and his money soon will part."

Chellee Dub replied: "I have one. Check out the recipes link in my profile and then seach for food processor or blender. Any of my recipes where I say I used one, I actually used a magic bullet. I only had one mishap; when I tried to shred raw carrots...no good. It's not that high quality of a machine. But you can make smoothies, sorbet, dips, salsa, cole slaw...they probably have some recipes on their website."

fam4 replied: "I love my magic bullet. The most common thing I use it for is fruit smoothies. I also use it to make all my baby food. I put eggs, salsa, and cheese and blend for a few seconds for scrambled eggs. Just a little advice- if you do get the cookbook or watch the infomercial, I always need to add more water than they use."

Where can I get replacement parts for the Magic Bullet blender? I got it as a gift, and I don't have any of the papers that came with it, but I need a replacement part because it is getting really hard to use...Any suggestions? Thanks! ♥

whiskeyflirt replied: "www.buythebullet.com this should take you to get replacement parts. this is the official website."

llittle mama replied: "Look at the Mfg. on the Bullet (it is on there somewhere) and go on line and you will find out where to write, e mail or call. If you can*t find it look on Google for Magic Bullet I just saw one at Walgreens, look there and look in the box and copy down the number. Good Luck"

Chippeh replied: "Google it, smart one."

where can i find a magic bullet blender in a store? is there a buy one get one free in any store?

Winter replied: "No-you can buy the single unit at Walmart,Target and sears but the BOGO is only good at their online site or through the 800#."

christopher s replied: "Seen 'em in spades at Wallymart last week..."

Random Person replied: "Walgreens. Not buy one get one free. Only single."

armeen_etemad1 replied: "target, walmart, walgreens, or sears"

hayden c replied: "blend concrete.....that would be sick"

JJ replied: "make a yummy smoothie, with yoghurt and berries, and crushed ice"

jjoshie replied: "i love making milkshakes, use ice cream, fruit or chocolate, and crushed ice is optional."

xbrandoniscoolx replied: "you can make powdered sugar :D"

da_hal replied: "truly killer margaritas: (using the big bullet) put about 1/3 tequilla, 2/3 margarita mix. fill it about halfway. up to the line, fill it with ice cubes. blend. use the big blade attachment. keep doing it until it stops crunching and starts whining."

Angie H replied: "Read the pamphlet in the box for recipes. I just mix fruits and juice together for great smoothies. I love the magic bullet. Also makes great margaritas."

always_midnight replied: "you can make smoothies or milkshakes.Ingredients: Cranberry Smoothie * 1 cup cranberries * 2/3 cup cran-raspberry juice * 1 cup raspberries * 8 oz of yogurt, preferabbly Raspberry * 1 1/2 cups of ice Blend until smooth, give it a taste and decide if you need more ice or juice. Strawberry Milkshake 1 cup milk 6 scoops strawberry ice cream 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon strawberry ice cream topping 1 tablespoon whipped cream, optional Fresh strawberries, sliced, optional Directions Combine first 5 ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with whipped topping and sliced strawberries. Classic Vanilla Milkshake 3 scoops vanilla ice cream 1-1/2 cups milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 2 teaspoons sugar Directions In a blender combine ice cream, milk, vanilla and sugar. Blend until smooth."

sweeterica@att.net replied: "Dang near nothing except slushies and smoothies. We finally bought one after watching all those late night infomercials... and were very disappointed. I pretty much use it just to mince fresh garlic or onion or make homemaid breadcrumbs form toasted bread. I don't even use it to make slushies or smoothies, because it's eaier to do those in the blender-style smoothie maker we have. But, if you like the Magic Bullet, I suppose anything you could think to make in a blender or food processor could be made, in very small quanties, of course."

professer doom replied: "YOU CAN MAKE TOPPINGS ,DESSERTS , AND YES YOU CAN EVEN MAKE THIS CHOCLATE CAKE, BUT WAIT THERES MORE, YOU CAN BLEND FRUIT, YES FRUIT, AND WAFFLES, WHO DOESENT LOVE FRUIT AND WAFFLES? AND IF YOU ACT NOW YOULL GET THIS LOVELY TOTE BAG!!!!"
